  • Create a Wildlife-Friendly EVERYTHING OUTDOOR

For those of you who love our Texas wildlife, Everything Outdoor can help you provide a safe habitat and plenty of food for year round interest in gardens.

Bees are among the best pollinators, and with nearly 85% of your flowering and fruiting plants requiring pollination they are a great option. Single-blossom flowering plants have more pollen and are more attractive to bees than multi-blossom flowering plants. Plant a variety of blue, purple, and yellow single-blossom plants to attract bees all year long.

  • Hummingbirds are great pollinators for flowers that are too narrow for most insects and birds to pollinate. They are attracted to red, pink, and orange tubular flowers.

Butterflies are probably the most visible pollinator in the landscape due to their striking displays of color. They tend to visit areas with large masses of a single flower color or closely related colors, rather than habitats containing several mixed colors. With the increasing habitat loss consider adding a butterfly garden to your landscape to increase the population.

Birds can also be pollinators. They help control pests as well as keep weeds under control as they often consume weed seeds.
